BIO„... incredibly emotive sound intensity ..." Die Rheinpfalz After graduating with a Master’s Degree from the Royal Academy of Music in London (Prof. Rodney Friend) with a DipRAM Diploma and Distinction, Johanna Roehrig is now completing her Artist Diploma at the HfMT Hamburg, while performing internationally as a soloist and recitalist.
Highlights of the current and past season include a broadcast with the PKOW Wernigerode, invitations to the NDR Kultur Klassik a lá Carte show, the Hamburger Kultursommer and solo engagements in England, Spain and Korea. In addition to her regular work as a musician, Johanna is involved in multiple innovative, self-developed projects, funded by the GVL and the DMR. The young violinist can already look back on extensive concert experience with internationally renowned orchestras, conductors and music partners. As a soloist, she played with orchestras such as the NDR Hanover, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in London or the Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pflaz, alongside numerous other orchestras in Europe. Chamber music is also a great passion of Johanna. She is playing in many different formations and a regular guest at music festivals in Europe. Invitations to work as concertmaster in numerous young orchestras (Junge Norddeutsche Philharmonie, etc.) have taken her to concert halls such as the Elbphilharmonie and have allowed her to work with conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Alan Gilbert and Thomas Hengelbrock. |
