VITA

After graduating with a DipRAM Diploma and Distinction from the Royal Academy of Music in London (Prof. Rodney Friend), Johanna Röhrig is now completing her Artist Diploma at the HfMT Hamburg while performing internationally as a recitalist and soloist.

Highlights of the past years include her debut at the MUK Luebeck with the Orchester des Wandels, as well as engagements with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Orchestra of St John’s in England. During the pandemic, she appeared in a television broadcast with the PKOW Wernigerode and in recitals on the NDR Kultur Klassik à la Carte broadcast with pianist Hubert Rutkowski.

The multiple scholarship holder (Thörl Stiftung/Rogler Stiftung a.o.) plays a violin by Jacob Stainer from 1675, on loan from the Beares International Violin Society in London, made possible through private sponsors, and proves her interest beyond classical music in cross-genre projects of her own design, supported by the Deutsche Musikrat, GVL, YAMAHA a.o.
